About me
Davíd Toledo (he/they) is a queer Xicano, ecofeminist, and Illinois native with eleven years of experience in organic food production. He studied Sustainable Community Development with minors in Sociology and Social Justice from Northland College. After being an educator through City Year and feeling inspired at a community farm, Davíd founded Contemporary Farmer, Inc. in 2019 to connect urban, rural, and suburban farming initiatives while promoting intergenerational education on regenerative agriculture. Passionate about equity, Davíd aims to help others start impactful businesses and simplify growing food. In his free time, he enjoys being active and practicing intentional self-care.
