About me
Gaby (they/them) is a queer Salvadoran-Mexican born and raised in Illinois – they’re blessed to call these prairies, wetlands, savannas and forests home, but are always yearning for the mountains and volcanoes of elsewhere. They are an educator, crafter/maker and land steward and have experience in youth work, facilitation and curriculum writing. Their desire is to create space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth and families to exist, heal, and learn creatively and freely in community. Gaby has a deep love for witnessing and supporting people in re-connecting and growing their relationship with the Land and our non-human relatives. These days they can be found learning new things about the Land, on a hike, making medicine, by the lake, watching TV, or trying to start/end a craft project.
