Irina Zadov (they/she) is a mama, artist, educator, and cultural organizer. They are a queer post-Soviet Jewish immigrant and settler on the unceeded territories of the Three Fires Confederacy: Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi. Their practice explores themes of diaspora, state violence, community resistance and land-based healing. Irina’s creative practice is rooted in co-creation with Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and LGBTQIA+ youth and communities. They are honored to be cultivating Young Cultural Stewards programming across Chicago’s public parks and community gardens for the last 8 years.
