About me
Lauren (she/her) spends most days exploring the wonder and joy of the city and nature with her 2 and 5-year-old. She is a part-time university instructor and founder of @mathWITHmama. Her work focuses on the truth that “math is about relationships.” She has a PhD in Child Development from Erikson Institute/Loyola University and a Masters in Education from Northwestern. Previously, Lauren taught PreK-2 and was a Math Coach and Professional Development Facilitator. She served as a founding co-facilitator of the NAEYC Math Interest Forum and her writing has been featured in Young Children. Garfield Park Conservatory is her most favorite place.
