What are the dates and location of the conference?The Green Teacher Gathering will take place on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00am-4:00pm, with an optional reception from 4:00-5:00pm. It will be held at the Academy for Global Citizenship located at 4942 W. 44th St, Chicago, IL 60638. Click here for a Google Map of the location.
How can I register for the conference, and what are the registration fees?
Tickets can be purchased on the "Tickets" page. The Green Teacher Network is committed to inclusivity and making our program offerings accessible to everyone. Attendees can self select a full priced, reduced price or free ticket option based on their ability to contribute to the event. Full price tickets are $30 (plus fees), Reduced price tickets are $20 (plus fees), and Free tickets. All the options can be found on the Tickets page.
What are the parking options?While we hilghy suggest public transportation if possible, there is plenty of free street parking located on the streets surrounding the building.

Are there any transportation options or recommendations for getting to the conference venue?
The Academy for Global Citizenship is located 2 blocks west of Cicero Ave. The Cicero bus #54 stops at Cicero Ave and 44th St. You can also take the Orange line to Midway and take the Cicero #54 bus north to 44th St.
Why are you serving plant-based (vegan) food at this event?
Eating a plant-based diet can reduce our carbon footprint and help mitigate climate change, as well as improve human health. The Green Teacher Network is committed to reducing our impact on the planet and supporting healthy communities through plant-based food options at its programs and events. Additionally,the Academy for Global Citizenship, is committed to a plant-forward diet for its school lunch program and any events it hosts. Will you be composting waste at this event?
Yes, the Green Teacher Network strives to make its events, including the Gathering, waste free. All packaging and materials used for the event will be compostable and WasteNot composting service will be on site to help with composting the day of the event. This event welcomes all people interested in environmental education and sustainability including community members, gardeners, teachers, parents, out of time school facilitators, artists, and more!
